i still have to hand bind the beast but i think i can do it in two nights...after the kids are in bed. i'll pop in a few good movies and give it a go...what do you think?
i love it, i love it, i love it!!! all the material looks fab together and i'm ready for a little time in front of the old sewing machine now- thanks for some inspiration!
OMH! Vanessa way to get it together so fast and Felicia you rock for getting it quilted so fast! I am constantly amazed at both of you. If only I was half as productive.
I just came across your blog, from the "Apron Girls". How fun! Anyway, I was just curious if you used a pattern for this quilt and how do you decide on your color placements? I've done a little quilting (am interested in doing more). Thanks!
kim- all i did for the quilt was cut out 8x8 inch squares, as for the placements i just did a random pattern and i would step back and look to see where my "so and so" block needed to go,i try to destribute the brite colors so that they arnt all close together. it's all just from looking at it, but don't stare at it too long cause you will drive yourself crazy trying to make it better and better and better, just go with your first look. good luck! i'm happy to answer any other questions you might have. ( if i know the answer!)
