i found her...
i decided to stop by an antique mall on my way home from the weekend celebrations. yes i took all 4 monkeys in with me and just as my nerves were about to be too much to handle with all the "please don't touch that!" "you are going to break something!" and "i swear if we weren't in public..." i turned the corner and "hallelujahs" started to go off as i saw her. she was kind of buried under some stuff but i wrestled her out , i went up to the front and paid for her, and went on my merry way happy as a clam.

That is darling, and the quilt behind it is amazing!!!! Did you make that one too?
yeah i made three of those quilts, one for each of my boys
My grandma had 3 of those in her attic room, and we LOVED to play school when we were kids. I wonder what happened to those desks when she moved... she probably got rid of them. :( at least I snagged her braided rug before she sent it to DI!
Hey, so cute!! Did you just spray paint it?
Vanessa, you get more done than anyone I know. Amazing woman, you are! I have one of those desks in my warehouse. They look so cute painted! Kate is one lucky little girl!
How do you do it all :)
Wow! You already have it painted and ready to go. You never cease to amaze me! And the picture in the paper was great, it really captured the moment.
That is FANTASTIC! I love it, I so NEED to shop around thrift stores and antique stores.
I think the chair was an awesome find, looks good both ways too.
i'm so glad you found her... finally! am i allowed to ask how much you paid????
Awesome find! I love it!
Love it, love it, love it.
I love you and I think you're great. Just so you know.
yay! i am so glad that you found it...it looks fabulous!
i paid more than i'm used to but because i've been looking for one just like this one FOREVER it seems it's was worth the $40 that i paid for her. gasp! i spent $40 but it will be loved for a looooong time. katie loves to sit in it and i love to look at it!
oh and yes i spray painted it...thought that would be a faster drying well just faster all around process.
What a sweet little chair, and I love the red! Your daughter should enjoy it for years.
Don't you just love the immediate gratification of spray paint!?!
Love it! Love it! Love it!
She's perfect!
you find the most amazing things, all i see is junk, maybe its where i live...or maybe its me:)
LOVE IT! SO cute!!! Great find. Keep letting us know, I love seeing the finds. I also love all your creations---LOVE the new skirt. It's beautiful. You give me inspiration---maybe one day I will try something like that.
k, so I love the red desk and all, but I love the pic of the little one playing - action shot and all!! Very good
Love this desk...I bought one this weekend also and wondered how to fix it up and now I have an idea...thanks for it...question...did you use primer and then spray paint it...what kind of spray paints do you use?
