it must be that i've been watching jane austen movies, and "becoming jane", read "austenland" by shannon hale, and now am reading "mansfield park" by jane austen, that i am finding myself totally in loooooove with dresses, i mean i've always have loved them but now i picture myself wearing them everyday all day, which is totally ridiculous seeing that i live in a farming community, and i already stick out like a sore thumb cause i wear "city" pants instead of wranglers, but wouldn't it be so grand to wear cute dresses everyday and just have it be totally normal? i really need to back off on jane austen it's getting kind of ridiculous!

i totally agree with you though, i always watch the romantic movies and the girls wear pretty little sundresses and skirts all the time and i would love to dress like that. all pretty and girly.
You're so funny! I love dresses too...but only when I'm skinny! One of the reasons I loved my mission is I got to wear skirts and dresses everyday, yes, I am such a girl!
So cute! I love those dresses! I have the same thoughts about wearing dresses every day... I do love wearing my comfy jeans, but dresses are so feminine!

mindy, down east basics, there's a link to it on my favorite places. i like them cause they have cute stuff like anthro, but not even a smidge as expensive! although there's a lot more cute stuff at anthro (bigger selection) but the prices are outrageous!
i think i'm buying me the black ones...something about black dresses that i love! the yellow one as cute as it is, probably wont look as cute on.
i love down east and their dresses are sooooo comfy!!!! i live in the one i have. wear it all the time- sometimes just to lounge and not feel like a scrounge. buy one, at least one. and for all that are looking for a cute dress costco is having a dress event. i was there on saturday but my little girl wouldn't let me look at them too close- we were shopping for dad. i think they ran up to $75. not bad, but not as good as down east.
Oh no, Vanessa!!! Now I HAVE to have a swimsuit from Tawnie's modbe, and I HAVE to have a dress from Downeast, and I don't have enough money!!! Those dresses are so cute!!!
SOOO cute! I used to wear cute little dresses and skirts all the time, in fact, just the other day, I was thinking, when did I devolve to wearing jeans ALL THE TIME?! It's much more practical with kids, but not nearly as fun!

I have both the top two dresses, and I wear them all the time...I'm sure I stick out like a sore thumb here in California too...but maybe for different reasons (like being the crazy lady with five kids). Anyway, there's nothing wrong with being over-dressed...I'd much rather be that than underdressed!
You'll love the dresses though...and they're so affordable. Under $30 for each one I think!
