this one's just for me

do your feet ever stay cold no matter how long you've been under your covers? is it just me?
well yesterday i decided i was not going to have cold feet anymore! and decided to make me a rice heating bag...you know the ones you stick in the microwave.
i wanted it to look stylish and cute...but i also wanted to change the cover if my fancy so required it...
i also use it on my tense neck and hello! loove it and i feel all relaxed when it's finally all cooled off!
now before you all start barking at me that you want a tutorial, it's coming, and it's so easy.
maybe by the end of the week. (so far i've managed to keep from getting the flu, probably has to do a little with the spraying down the children with lysol every time they come near me...we'll see if my luck stays up!)

You are seriously so adorable. I LOVE that rice heating bag. And yes, my feet are always freezing! I wear really warm socks, use an electric blanket, and then put a goose down throw over my side of the bed. And I live in CA!! It does the trick though. :)

Your little piggies are so cute! Especially in red.

What? People are barking at you - make them stop! Love using rice bags, but my kids use them as bean bags. Maybe if I make it long like yours that will stop them! Cute cute

I've made a bunch of these out of dry field corn. I use them when I have a sinus headache across my face. It is seriously the only thing that seems to get rid of them including medication. I make mine with removable covers as well, but mainly for the washing aspect. Love your nice bright pink cover though.

I use the feed corn too. I'm sure you can get some of that in your town. I also make the removable covers. They work great in the freezer as well for bumps and bruises. And when you heat them they have a wonderful aroma, if you like the way corn smells. :)

What a fabulous idea. Never thought to use the rice bag for my "popscicle feet". My husband is forever complain about my using his legs to warm them. Awesome idea Vanessa

I have a rice bag (not nearly as cute as yours though), but have never thought of using it on my toes. I think my DH is going to love it!

We used to make these with tube socks. It goes without saying that these are MUCH cuter. What were we thinking? Mimi

I have this on my to-do list. I just need a little one-on-one time with my sewing machine first.

I have seen these rolls a couple of different places. Just wondering how much rice you used? And the sizing? I'm excited to see your tutorial. If my feet aren't warm, I can't sleep at night. Plus, my husband is getting tired of me wearing socks to bed!
