I think I just stumbled over you while searching for inspiration and techniques on quilting. I just FELL. HEAD. OVER. HEALS. in love with your style of writing, your talent and your utterly amazing cleverness. In fact, whoever walks through my door gets shown your before and after house photos. You ARE the cleverest craft person I know.

okay, this is for another shot at winning....the "tell me a little about yourself" one.....my name is michele, and i'm a blog-aholic. i compulsively read my bookmarked blogs every day making mental notes of things i must try to make, and it totally makes my day when i stumble upon a new and wonderful blog....such is how i found yours, i'm not sure how long ago, but i'm guessing about a year. i love.love.love your blog (that is some serious lovin'!) and i wouldn't change a thing :) i feel like you keep it real, too....you are not too perfect, and i wish i lived near you because i would love to be your friend IRL. AND, we both have uber-cute Katies :)

Hi there Vanessa. i have only been reading your blog for a few months. I can't remember how I found you except that I knew straight away that I was going to add your blog to my reader. I don;t really know how you describe that 'knowing' - great blog to keep following.
Reading blogs has become a wonderful pasttime for me and I still feel part of a crafting community. I used to belong to a local patchwork group but am unable to attend anymore (due to having a baby and work committments). I just wish I had found the blogging community when I was on maternity leave and I would have been a lot more contented. Thanks for a wonderful blog and hosting giveaways. All the best to you and your family.

sb said...

I honestly can't remember exactly how I found you. Bad I know. I've been following you for a little while though. I want to try my hand at that knit skirt in your header.

Let's see. I work FT outside the home, which sucks. I have 2 boys, 2.5 and 4. We are trying to turn ourselves around financially and live a more simple, sustainable life. I love outside, reading, knitting, sewing(new love...I'm learning) and gardening.

That's me in a nutshell!

I'm pretty sure I found your blog through my friend Elizabeth over at Lambie-Pie. I love reading about your projects and can relate to balancing family & creating beautiful things.
I'm a mom of 5 and love to sew quilts & decorate my home. Because free time and project time is hard to find, I go for quilt patterns that start with fat quarters, cake layers, jelly rolls, etc. It's always amazing to see the finished quilt with beautiful fabric throughout.

I wish I could remember how I ended up here on your blog, how I became a follower, or how long I have been reading now. I know it was sometime before Mr V&Co came back from war. I remember relating because my hubby was gone too (but not to war, just a far off job). Plus, I graduated from college in Family Science so I like Mr V&Co's job. Then I just stayed around for the tutorials and the great ideas and links to other great ideas. I love to sew to and my name is Katie. Plus, I think we have the same faith. So there is just a lot in common and I can relate to on your blog. Your stories are so amusing, especially about the Wal-Mart checker you try and avoid. LOL!! Makes me laugh every time I think about it. There's a few at mine too. Have a good day.

I never knew blogs existed until around September of last year. I was doing google search on how to bind a quilt. Your blog came up and I'm happy to say your blog was the first blog I ever read and you got me hooked. I'm a follower of yours and look forward to getting on here each day to see what new and exciting things your doing or have came up with. Thanks so much. I also told my daughter, which she scrapbooks and she started her own blog and I am happy to say it's sparked her interest in sewing which I was trying to teach her anyway. check it out sometime www.sewcuriosity.blogspot.com
wishing you and your family health and happiness.

ok first i thought i wanted the pajamas (for me) and then the cute Women Amy Butler Auty Top but i think that i would have to go for the long sleeved top in a custom order including that beautiful white fabric.

i think....i might change my mind though - she has so much cute stuff!

I can't remember how I found your blog but I think that it was either through Moda Bake Shop or through Camill's at Thimbleblossoms. I love it and check back way too often! Keep up the good work. You always have so many cute things. I just have such a great big project to do list!!

It is all ADORABLe..but I would choose the AMY BUTLER PAJAMA pants...and maybe some of the button magnets...and...well you can see my dilemma. About me....I call myself a stay at home mom....but my kids point out that my youngest is 27 and owns her own home. Kristy in Ohio

I found your blog through the etsy shop. A friend of mine has your scarf and told me to check it out! So cute! Thanks for all the ideas! Oh and I love the aprons at the sew cute shop!! Thanks for featuring her!

I don't remember how I found you but I sure loved following you on SYTYC.

Let's see, last time I told you I grew up in Manti and that I double dated with a Chappell. This time I'll tell you that I secretly (well, not anymore) wish that we could be neighbors and that you would give me all kinds of advise on how to decorate my home. You'd also be the one I could call when I'm totally stumped on picking fabric combinations for my latest quilting project. We'd always laugh and have lots of fun together and you'd never ever mind, not even for a moment, that you couldn't walk through my office/craft room without tripping over all sorts of junk.

I can't remember how I found your blog, but I know it's been over a year, and I love the things you write and share. I LOVE LOVE LOVE tutorials. The shame is that I don't always follow through, I just get more and more ideas of things I want to make and then I don't have time. So maybe simple tutorials are best for me

My mom emailed me the link to your site. She thought I would appreciate your story about your toddler melting down in a certain store. Which I did since my daughter had been doing almost the exact same thing that week.
