I'd probably get the doll and girl dress set.

I think I found your blog while searching for a tutorial on banners and pennants--since then I've made TONS of banners using your tut!
I like that you share your quick ideas about decorating your home and your particularly funny sense of humour about life in general!

I made a visit to Brandy's blog and sent her some comment love :)

I was on her blog and tried twice to leave a comment...but don't see it up there for some reason. :(

First of all, LOVE your blog. Second of all, LOVE the Sew Cute blog. I can't narrow down what I would want MOST... but the dresses would be so super cute on my Annie-look-alike daughter, and well the tops I would want all to myself. I love all of it so much that I posted about it on my blog. Vanessa, all your stuff is so stinkin amazing - I always check back to see what new tutorials you post. Those are THE best. Thanks for all the inspiration!!!!

I love your blog just the way it is :) It's a good mix of your shop stuff, tutorials, personal, and other peoples stuff.

I found out about you from someone else's blog but not sure who anymore.

Joyce said...

I visited her blog. Sorry to her about her daughter. I posted, but I am not sure it went through. I will have to check back later. I am generally a blog stalker (husbands definition). I found your blog when I was actually looking for quiliting ideas, and I was hooked. You are so cute and are so creative. I bet you are just so fun to be around. I enjoy copying your decorating ideas-----even though by the time I do, you have changed things around again. My daughter does that-----each time I go to her house it is different. I am a wife, mom, nana, and friend, and love thrifting and making my home cozy.

Mary said...

Oh the Ladies Lilly Apron Top looks so comfy! I always so for my girls and never myself, and it would be nice to have something pretty for me! I'm really loving the lovebirds and butterflies fabric she has as her wallpaper on her blog. It's such a sweet fabric.... I've been following your blog for a while.... can't remember how I got here.... I'm a new sewer and have been following blogs for tutorials. This is how I've learned to sew. I really have enjoyed your blog and posts.

I believe I found your site through Homemade by Jill... or maybe it was Make It and Love It. Heck, maybe I found them through you. I'm not sure. I found you guys all around the same time by googling something that took me to your blogs. Soooo, glad I did.
Sometimes I go to my blog lists hoping that you've updated, before I check my friends/family. Is that bad? Maybe. But I love your style. And your genius.
Ok, this is a long comment, but I was at a craft store today, and I was thinking about YOUR blog. I was noticing all the cool/cute things they have there and was hoping some inspiration for a cool project would jump out at me, like I imagine it does for you as you walk up and down the aisles. But, instead I just felt overwhelmed. I wanted eveything, but I had no idea what to make with anything. So, long story longer, I realized I was grateful you post all these fabulous ideas so I don't have to think of them.... just try to make them. Try.

Hmmm...I'm pretty sure I love EVERYTHING in her shop! However, if I had $40 to blow on whatever I wanted in there...I would probably go for the reversible kids' pinafore and a piece of matching fabric (if she gets any more in stock...) to make a matching cloth diaper for my little one's stylish summer :)

Sandy said...

Long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away, I found you in a rowdy bar on Tatu-ine. You were dancing on the bar with Boba Fett. Took me forever to get you outta there but I knew there was gonna be trouble so we had to go! How we ever avoided being picked up by the Stormtroopers I will never know. Perhaps The Force was with us that day.

I am a nut, you already know that. And I am glad to have found you and your bloggy. I am proud to count you amongst my bestest blogland buddies!

Enough slobbering over you now ;-)

Your blog needs a road trip to meet mine. Then we can post pictures of our bar top dancing!
(Not that either of us ever has nor would do any bar top dancing!)

I put this on my blog : )

Wendy said...

something about myself, well I am embarrassed to admit that you sold me "wee play" charm packs that I was going to make into a quilt. I have done all the pinwheels, but that's it. I NEED MOTIVATION! Sigh. Now you know the ugly truth :)

Jenny said...

I found your blog through other blogs, I think. Linking through the ones they like. I'm not sure which one it was, but I've been visiting for many months now.

As for me, I used to be a nurse-midwife, but I'm a stay at home mom, part time quilter now. Someday, i'd love to have a blog people actually read and quilts and crafts they actually paid money for. That's my aspiration of the day. Oh, and today is my birthday. Thanks for keeping me inspired.

sue said...

I actually don't remember how I found your blog, but it has been on my reading list for quite some time. I think it was either from UCREATE or MODA bake shop. Love all the ideas

Bethany said...

Well, yeah, I mean, HOW CAN YOU ARGUE with the Aunty Top, hm? How can you argue? (But the knot dress is super cute, too. Which means if I'm being selfish, I pick the aunty top for me and the knot dress for my girl. :)

Bethany said...

I can't remember how I found you but I'm delighted that I did. Because I like your style and I like to copy. :)

And ps, about the word veris-I don't mind word veris. I think they're amusing. I often make sentences in my head with them... like "My son is acting awfully scouslly today." You could have a whole word veri contest, it's that much fun! :)

Well, cheers, I'm off to make my other entries... :)

I left a comment on Brandy's blog ... I was so excited to see that she's considering offering a tutorial on the apron! That would be awesome!!

Christy said...

If my memory serves me correctly, I believe that I found you through the Moda Bakeshop (but I could be mistaken), my memory is pretty shot these days.

Anyway, I fell in love with your writing style, and your knack for all things crafty amazes me every time. I love coming over here and seeing that you've posted something new. :o)

I'd love to see more of your house on your blog. I'm horrible at decorating and figuring out what goes with what, you seem to have it all together with the little "peeks" that you offer once in a while.

Tracy said...

Okay girl... I have no idea how I stumbled on your blog (what seems like a long time ago.) I'm sure it was from another crafty blog that I follow. I love the way you write and your tutorials are my favorite! I bought your red and white dot fabric from your etsy shop, some zippers, a few tutorials and I love it all. Here is my confession: I cannot bring myself to use ANY of them. Why do we do that... save the good stuff for something special when really every moment is special right?

lovinsanta said...

Well let's see I live in a little town in IN called Santa Claus. I found your blog by clicking from another, and I love to craft. Your ideas just make me want to do more. The funniest part is I used to make fun of my mom because she would always say "I can make that" instead of buying...now I find myself saying it. I couldn't stand to sew until about 8 months ago when I kept seeing stuff I wanted to make but said "I can't sew." I now have my own machine and enjoy it!

Would love to see tutorials...love them!

A little bit about me...? and my relationship to your blog? Well I found you through So You Think You're Crafty: great competition & awazing work from your part in particular. Since then, your blog is among my favs.
What Id' like to see on your blog? Well, I'm a beginner crafter, who never had any arts & craft classes at school (long story...), so I have difficulties matching fabric patterns & colors: would you be able to give advice on that from time to time? For instance, spotlight 3 or 4 fabrics from different designers that can be used in a same project?
Thanks for everything you do: you're really inspiring.

Amanda Joy Petersen said...

I found your blog on Moda when I was trying to find my outlet for creativity. I used to paint, watercolors and oils; but with two little kids it is too hard to find the time and place to do it. (Plus, can you imagine oil paints in the hands of a 2 1/2 year old and an 11 month old. I mean it could only imporve our 70's-esque barf colored floral carpet, but where would it stop:) I was able to find inspiration through you and others to decorate my home and be crafty without having to sell a toe or two.

Hi I'm Kristie. I don't remember how I found you. . . so glad I did. Really appreciate your realness & fun sense of humor.
I'm a part-time SAHM. I just got into this blogging world and well, now I'm addicted. Wish I had more hours to sew. Used to just quilt then years went by. Now I'm really into sewing clothes mostly for my 1yr old daughter. So much inspiration in the blog world. Wish I had time to sew up all the cute fabric I keep adding to my stash. he he
I might like to see more quilt inspirations. Maybe that will help motivate me to FINISH one.

OK, I am California girl who moved to Connecticut 7 years ago and only about 3 times a year I scream "WHY!!??". But the rest of the year I love it here. I have two little girls (2 and 4), who are totally wild, but I try to at least always dress them in adorable clothes. Homemade ones are my favorite, because my grandma made so many of my clothes growing up. I also stalk your blog and have made many of your tutorials. So wordy,I know, but thanks for listenin:)

I've never entered one of these giveaways, I am thirty (for a few more days!) have three beautiful kids and just got a sewing machine for myself and dd(10)(she paid for a chunk of it) to learn to sew on, so I've been eating up these sewing blogs. Your blog is very cute, one thing I would like to see more tutorials, I love those. I would love to win this giveaway!!! You're featured in my facebook, and I'm posting on her blog! (Oh yes, I found you from Simple Abundance blog.)

I am an obsessive craft blog follower but I'm always too nervous to try making the things I see. I dream of being crafty though. I have lots of ideas in my head but can't figure out how to get them out. I love people like you who can.

Vanessa,

You are rocking! I heart all of your entries; it's a bit lovely to see all of your successes. Makes us feel like we can do it too! Very Rosie the Riveter of you. Well, I LOVE all of SewCuteShop's Lily items. Having a daughter named Lily, I'm a sucker for all things with her name on it. LOVE all of her fabrics. Fantastic! Also, I came across your blog when my friend Jamie suggested it! She grew up in San Luis Obispo and raved about your creativity. I'm a sucker for things cute, so I've been following ever since! Thanks for the giveaway!

Now for a little about me:) I'm currently a stay at home mom to a very active 3 year old. So I love reading stories about your adventures of being a mom:) I started quilting about two years ago and my first project was a quilt for my son. I have since then made a few more quilts for family. I honestly can't remember how I found your blog but have enjoyed it very much.
