so i've opened up a second post for all you people who keep emailing me to open up the comments again.
okay now for moving on:
well so i have a little bit more news to spill.
a few weeks ago i got an email from the producer of a morning show here in utah called Good Things Utah asking if i'd want to possibly come on the show and demonstrate one of my tutorials.
i looked up at my husband with terrified eyes, and he asked "what?"
i answered " i think i'm going to be sick."
so one phone call later and i had agreed to do a show on Feb 4th.
yes that's one week from friday people.
i joked with the producer that i would probably toss my cookies on live air, and she laughed. i think she thinks i was kidding.
so here's where you guys come in.
they asked me to do one of two projects...
A.) the heart gathered pillow:
orB.) the ruffle pillow.
and my question to anyone out there willing to give me feedback is...which project would you like for me to throw up on while on live TV.
a girl's got a right to know.
i don't drink but i may just take up hard liquor for the next two weeks to build up some tolerance so i can drink myself into

What a wonderful experience (!?!)...I'd be sick to my stomach too, but I think you'll do a fantastic job. I vote for the ruffle heart. I hope you post a link so those of us not in Utah can watch too. :)

Ruffle pillow! It is my next attempt to be domestic and I would love to see it done so I don't totally mess it up! But your tutorials are amazing and I'm excited to see the show no matter what you choose to do.
Now I really wish I had TV. maybe I'll just invite myself next door while the show is on.

Congratulations! You deserve some attention! I'd say do the pillow that you think is the easiest for the largest number of viewers possible.
Whichever one you feel most comfortable demonstrating. I've been on GTU a few times and they are amazing to work with. They're so relaxed, so it relaxes you. Promise!

I was on TV once talking about organizing holiday gift giving. There was a table of props in front of me. My pregnant belly knocked one thing over, which hit another and about half the table's contents proceeded to fall like dominoes. I didn't throw up though and neither will you. Mostly it will just go by really quickly.
As another commenter said, the best idea is to pick the project you feel more connected to. That's the one you'll be able to describe under pressure.
its not as scary once you start doing it. But before, you should get some xanax! :) totally kidding! I have the opportunity to be on Studio 5, so if you need pointers or help, I would be happy to share my opnions and what little I know! You will do awesome! Wear a great lipstick-it will help you feel like a million bucks!!

They are both cute but in the spirit of Valentines day you could not the heart. They can show the ruffle and have the link to your blog up and they could mention if people want to learn how to make the others to check out your blog. OR make the one that is less complicated for YOU to explain. Less to worry about the better.

With Valentine's Day coming up I would conduct the heart pillow tutorial. I have not been on TV but I have spoken before many large audiences before and practicing repeatedly in front of a mirror helps me feel prepared and less nervous. I am sure you will be brilliant. Congratulations!

I love both. It is perfect timing for the heart pillow. But the ruffled pillow could, might, possibly go into repeats...not just a special occasion show. So the ruffled pillow is timeless, the heart pillow might rerun and only show itself at this time of year, around Valentines!

Do the heart pillow as it will be just before Valentine's Day. Do not drink or take something to relax you it will be a disaster. Also do not drink anything carbonated before the show unless you want to stifle a burp on air, don't wear blue eye shadow. Be yourself, think of the audience as your immediate family or friends and try to have fun.

Good luck to you! I can imagine the nervousness you are feeling, but you will do fine! I think the gathered heart pillow is the better choice to demonstrate. It's seems like a more "do-able" project, but at the same time it has several steps, so you can keep busy with talking about each part while the cameras focus on the pillow.

Okay, so here's what I'm thinking... they are going to ask you back, so on the 4th, you should do the heart pillow, since it will be good timing, right before Valentine's day and all. Then, when they call you in three weeks and say, "We must have you back! You were so great!" you can do the ruffle pillow then!

I say the ruffle pillow--it looks harder for me to figure out without watching you do it on tv. My friend takes a pill thelp her relax before performing--maybe you could get in on some of that. :)

Do whichever you are most comfortable doing - that will take away half the fear. And, the hosts are amazing!! They totally walk you through what you need to say and keep you on track. Don't sweat it. Once you get started its like you are working with a friend and everything else disappears.
