confession

i sewed today. yeah i did. even though to get to my material and to get to my cutting board i had to climb boxes and i had to shove on more than one occasion "mount stuff of junk" from one side of the room to the other just to get something accomplished.
and you know what?
it felt good.

then to procrastinate the whole process even i more...i've baked cookies have popped popcorn and have done it on more than one occasion...yes the kiddos are now thinking that it's a new tradition to have fresh baked cookies coming out of the oven or freshly popped popcorn ready to be devoured as the walk in the door from school.

but even with all my procrastinating and trying to avoid the house...alas we are still making a little bit of progress here and there.
but not in my office...that's still a mess and with the added fabric confetti everywhere...it doesn't look like it's going to get much cleaner any time soon.
oh well.

hey pssst monday we're having a giveaway!

I don't know about you, but my sewing room is NEVER cleaned up or organized for more than half a day! Your living room looks great, and I see nothing wrong with your menu! :)

Good for you.....the boxes aren't going anywhere and you have to juggle those moments with kids, a husband, and a pup annd relish in the fabric. Have fun.

Sewing can be such a great stress reliever for me so I can see why you wanted to get back to it and let the other go for a day. The last time we moved we had four little kids and it took me forever to get situated. I should have taken a cue from what you did and taken one afternoon to rejuvenate my spirit and creative juices with sewing! The boxes will still be there tomorrow and for today I'm glad you took care of you! Although, you may have started a bad habit with having homemade cookies made when the kids come home, lol! Time to buy the packaged cookies (spoken by someone who hates to cook, lol)!

Ha...I am no one to talk. We are in Korea for a year and I am thinking the boxes that haven't gotten unpacked for two months...well they may stay like that until the movers come back next summer. I am all for showing off those homemaking skills...sewing and baking. I can't wait to see more pics of your new house. Good luck!

I always have to apologize to people as they pass through my sewing/craft/office room to get to the bathroom. It's so bad in there that I tell them "it's about 15 dead cats away from being an episode of Hoarders."

Sometimes you just *have* to sew. And bake cookies. And pop popcorn.

You living room looks great, & cookies and popcorn?!? My kids would not only love you but they would ask what's wrong with that! :)

I am "trying" to set up a craft room for myself in our small farmhouse and it looks like the storage room is what I get. Right next to our extra fridge & freezer. But at this point I don't care I just need a spot to call my own!

I'm beyond sick of my crafts being in 3 different rooms and i think being organized with help me WANT to craft more.. I hope....

It will all come together with time! Don't rush yourself, try to enjoy the process (and your family) in the meantime :o). Smiles...

I can't wait to see more pictures of your decor. Mostly because I'm trying to figure out how to do mine too. So, take some more pictures, even if everything isn't totally perfect!

Curtains already up?! That's impressive! As a kid, I LOVED fresh baked cookies when we got home from school, I don't think it happened that much, but it was fantastic! :)
