happy hallows eve

from our house to yours.

katie trying on her "sen sen" costume...the boys will be clone troopers...of course.

today i'm off to make some pumpkin soup (wish me luck), avoid the super cold weather, completely ignore the "hellish white fluffy stuff that has fallen out of the sky to bring on seasonal depression" also known as "snow", and gorge myself with some candy while the kids aren't looking.
here's to bringing on la-la land that winter is seriously not just around the corner and knocking on my door, by eating and crafting myself into happiness.
no seriously.

ps: someone sent me an email (which i lost, or deleted by accident...BIG SURPRISE..sorry!)
about my twig ball and where i got it that was in the third picture in this post. well the answer to that is they were in the garden section at walmart on clearance in a package for outside lighting (better homes and garden. I took them off the white (Christmas) lights. and use them through out my house.

there is a warning though: if you buy these i will not be held responsible for children (specifically boys) that will take one look at these and think "hmmm baseball? ooooooh yeeeeah" because believe me it will happen.

Oh you make life sound so carefree and festive. I love it! (even though I know how busy you really are :)) Enjoy that candy! I'll be stealing from Lucy's pumpkin too.

Happy Halloween to you and yours. Katie's outfit looks adorable---i so miss my children being this age :(

Try to avoid the white stuff (Snow is a dirty word in our house--lol)

I was already stealing candy yesterday. Just get yourself a snuggie and you'll be warm and toasty (and fashionable!!) all winter long!

My mom was complaining about the snow there the other day - I always tell her 6 months of winter is why I don't really want to live there. The awesome bloggy peeps and quilt shops might change my mind though.

Waaaay too soon for winter to start. Where did the year go?

We'll be sending warm thoughts from 84 degree San Luis Obispo on Halloween! Maybe it will help!

Vanessa-
Thanks for your nice comments! You're welcome to take pics of the quilt or just go ahead and get them off my blog (who knows how long it will take me to get it bound and photographed though!) I'm really anxious to see it all finished up. She has done such a great job on your quilts that I know it will be gorgeous! I can 't believe it's snowed at your house, of course it snowed here one day last week too so I don't know why I can't believe it.
Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Mmmmm... pumpkin soup sounds so good. What perfect weather for it. And speaking of weather... that's not snow... those are ghost terds falling from the sky. This is what happens when you don't leave cookies out for the ghosts and goblins. HURRY... MAKE COOKIES!

What a cute little gal in a darling outfit for Halloween. Also, her room in the background is precious.

Have a fun weekend.

oh the Clone trooper.. I saw a Star Wars costume last night and as he passed I said "May the force be with you" he walked on and said to his dad {which was laughing} "I don't know what that lady meant" G just rolled his eyes and said the kid thought I was crazy.. How did he not know what the force is?
