the sun was out...

and so were we.
the kids were home yesterday... and what better way to spend a beautiful, sunny, lazy day then outside in the back yard doing "hand sewing work" while the kids enjoyed the sun and outside toys (and some man tools that the boys are so fond of for thier digging). i worked on some new things for my etsy store, i worked on more rag rugs, i even started working on my new embroidery patterns, it's been a while since i've put new things in quilt stores. it was a good day, and a nice reminder of what our summers are like.
my pasty white legs can't wait for more days like this.
seriously, i must be one of the whitest hispanics out there right now.
sad.

There's hope? Warm weather? Dirt? Seriously, it has been warming up and some of our snow has disappeared these past few days. Love your rag rug. Enjoy your blog.

Doesn't it just feel so good to be out in the sun. This spring especially for some reason! Enjoy!

How's your GI adjusting to home life once again? Robert will probably do his year long thing on his next transfer. Laura and the boys can go back to wherever they want at that point. Hopefully it will be some place closer to us! But for now he is taking her to Paris for the weekend. Poor thing!

Oh I love the blue and green. So fresh. :-) And I am dreading our summers. It was the high 80's here yesterday. I think my perfect spring weather is done. :-P

I love being outside and watching the kids play. I love the sun on my legs and cheeks and I love getting a moment to do something I want to do.

I need some sun too...I feel thiner when I have a tan!!!

So when making those quilted pillows with your stitcheries do you put a plain piece of material on the back or do you sew squares together for that too?

I am stitcher(not a pepper)too.

oh and I love that rug too.

I am MAD at myself because I didn't realize how nice the day was until it was almost over. My kid stayed in and watched the cursed tv all day (yeah, we had one of those--i blame it on feeling gaggy all day) and we wasted it. We did go to the park for fhe--that counts for something right?

Now I want to take a road trip that passes as many antique stores as possible in my quest for a white chippy pitcher.

Oh girl, I'll bet I have you beat on the palest hispanic! I come from a long line of them!

Isn't it great to be able to sit outside and work? Wouldn't have it any other way!

Another beautiful rug you taunt me with! Your one you did with the Swell is still at the top of my Must Make List.

PS... I'm a life member of the pasty white leg club! Shield your eyes... shield your eyes.

Well, you inspired me, I started on a rag rug over the weekend!

I am being lazy though and taking the easy way out, mine is crochetted.

I am also out of fabric so it's on temporary hold *Sigh*
