hmmm and speaking of iphones...
lets talk about autofills shall we?
i like autofill because sometimes i don't know how to spell a word and if i type in something close to it...voila! autofill saves the day.
autofill has also substituted words for what i was trying to write with completely different words that by no means was what i was trying to type out.
i get a little chuckle here and there when it comes out funny or silly. you never know what you are going to get.
and sometimes i get a little too funny inappropriate autofill suggestions that thankfully i catch and laugh to myself about before i send it off to the recipient.
well until last night.
oh let me tell you.
so i was texting with my friend about walking in the morning on my regular phone (that i swear was made in the early 90s) so it wasn't easy. so i told her i was going to get on my iphone that was replacing my old phone due to the ATT take over of altell. we will have service mid may (yay me!) and so i used my iphone to continue our convo there. towards the end i sent her this last email obviously without proof reading it.
"yeah i have a phone call at 8:30 i have to be here for, so if we can do 6:30 that would be sweet. ;) um yeah rectum will be super easy when i get my phone actually working on may 12th!..."
i swear i wrote "TEXTING" and not "RECTUM"
she answered that she was a little confused.
my stomach sunk after i realized i had actually sent that...she can handle it but oh my gosh, what if it was to someone i didn't really know well? or worse...what if it was to like my mom. wait my mom doesn't own a computer...you know what i mean though.
anyways we laughed real hard on it after the fact.
apparently there's a whole site dedicated to this kind of stuff.
BE WARNED if you are completely caught up on repentance steer away from this site...autofill sometimes gets a little on the crude side of things.
now if you are on the "i need to repent soon" mode, go ahead and check it out. i always seem to be on the a little bit "unholy" ground so i got a huge laugh out of this...but clearly i was on my knees after my fun.
edited:(okay not going to link to it because uh...some of the entries are a little too crude for me. i saw the mild versions and when i went to the actual site there is no "bleeping" sooo yeah...even i have limits...)
lets just say i'll be super careful with texting/emailing from now on with the autofill stuff! i def don't want to say anything that would make my grandmother blush!

Yeah, I had to stop visiting that site because of all the language, but I admit, it's HILARIOUS!
haha, what an unfortunate auto correct! I think I know the site you mean and I enjoy looking through it sometimes too. Bad language doesn't bother me but I can see how it would make someone else blush! Also, congrats to the giveaway winner!
I haven't even read your post yet, but I'm going to let you know that that is THE CRAZIEST post title I think I've ever read. Hahaha!
Your post title made me laugh....just had this happen this morning. When texting my son about which Dr. to schedule his appointment with, Auto-fill changed our family Dr's name to "Dr. Nausea" of all things! Always worth the giggle...
Have a wonderful weekend
LMAO!!!!! This is why I am keeping my dumbphone and I will never text :o)
I have a love/hate relationship with autocorrect too. I intended to say "get ready to get your kesha on" to a friend who was coming over to play Just Dance, and my phone corrected to "get ready to get your Jesus on". Ironic, right? :)
LOL. I have an acquaintance who we tolerate because she is mostly obnoxious, and my computer always changes her name to "malodorous".
I always laugh, until it changes MY name to "gland"

When I got my tattoo, a friend of mine came with to watch. On his way, this wife texted to ask where he was. Now keep in mind they are separated and on shaky ground. Using the microphone that writes what you say, he wanted to write "going with Amy to get her tattoo." The microphone heard "going with Amy to get rid of you". Thank God he proofread that...that could have been bad!
It's the new Mad Lib. Lots of laughs.
Oh, that made me laugh! So glad it was a friend. My friends would laugh if I sent that to them. Then again, I'm part of an online group called the Traveling Dork Sisters so we probably would accidentally type the wrong word! LOL!
I had to turn my autofill off because I kept sending the message with the inappropriate words.
I have wondered if the programmers did this on purpose.

D@mn you Auto Correct is a lot of fun, all the auto correct are on Apple's iPhone. Them coders over there are some dirty, dirty people. Life ever other company, they tested their product with friends and family for awhile.
Android messaging doesn't autocorrect to dirty, dirty things. I've been spared from having to ready my texts for a while.
Bless your heart Vanessa! That is too funny! :o)
Thats hilarious! I was laughing and my husband came over to see what was so funny and he was soon laughing too! We dont have any fancy cellphones, although I really want one! :)
LOL I cant believe how many times that happens to me.
auto correct needs an off button FOR SURE... i've visited 'that' site too... it's .... errr.. well... like you said!
Too funny!!!! I enjoyed reading that story...Sometimes the send button isnt our friend...
Happy Easter!
That's funny! At least you can blame the phone. The other day when I was on the phone with my brother he asked "who's that in the background." I replied "that is Jenna playing with her barbies she like to foreplay with them." I meant to say role play.
OMG I nearly spit out my egg salad! Crack.me.up!

Oh my, that site is FUNNY. Foul language doesn't bother me until it comes out of my child's mouth, so I can stand to read it. My husband and I have actually had a "date night" where we just sat and read many of the archived posts and laughed for hours.
I attempted to make your adorable jersey knit bracelet. Check out my blog to see how they turned out. I love your blog :)

I laughed out loud. Thanks for sharing!
Ok, to continue with the "potty" humor, that's just pee-in-your-pants funny! LOL!
