yes, yes...i'll pick someone (rather random generator will) and i'll give you something. probably later today...i'm still working my tail off trying to finish next weeks challenge for sytyc. i think it will turn out cute. i hope. and i have my son's birthday to prepare for. so for now here's a mini tutorial of a holiday wreath i made last week.
this is just one of the holiday-ish project i've been working on. how many more i will be able to completely finish in time to show you...i don't know but i'm just knocking them off one at a time.if i were to be able to pick how my christmas tree would look like, it would have these three colors on it. granted yes, it looks like it belongs in the book how the grinch stole christmas
. but those are my colors at the moment!
how i created this wreath is basically the same way i created my pine cone wreath, except this time i used 2 packages of these little foam balls i bought at tai pan. i lightly spray painted the foam wreath green.
and of course just like the pine cone wreath it took some time and patience. i only burned my fingers like 10 times with the hot glue, but now instead of actually "swearing", have resolved to using the phrase "oh swear word!" it works just as good. thanks to the nice gal pal that i heard using that phrase at church the other day. i laughed pretty hard and thought i would give it a whirl. go ahead you know you want to as well.and there you have it, a holiday wreath worthy of being part of the "how the grinch stole christmas" scenery.

This is so pretty! And, I love the pine cone wreath, too! I have a black door and nothing (I like) shows up. I love my red berry wreaths and haven't found anything that I like that shows up better. These are PERFECT! Thanks for sharing!

I'm so glad you posted this! I wanted to do a wreath like this, and Martha has a tutorial, but she had you glue pins to the bottom of each ball to secure it to the wreath, and I didn't really want to do that! This is much better:)

I really like it. I love your new phrase also! It makes me smile. I use traditional Christmas colors to decorate with too with a bit of blue thrown in.

Beautiful wreath. My daughter always found the swear words enticing...I used Pasta Fazool!...For the longest time, she thought this was an actual swear word instead of an Italian dish. I would yell, Pasta Fazool! and she would say, "Quit swearing at me."
I absolutely love that! My kids and I were going to create something like that using gumdrops....but yours gives me another creative idea. Love it!
Love this...just wish I knew where I could get some of those little balls...small rural Georgia...too bad some don't sell supplies on etsy for us folks who have no great stores in theie town.

i love the wreath!!! it's awesome...and i'm totally stealing the "oh swear word" phrase...my toddler has picked up EVERY bad word i mutter...heaven forbid he'd learn some other new words!! :) have a great weekend!!

I just posted some things I've made and you should be able to tell from that but.....I totally have a Whooville Tree!! Bright red green and white! Topped with a funky looking star and decorated with all sorts of odd ball ornaments!

I always say, "Oh bad Words." It is just as satisfying as cursing, but if my 3 year old hears me say it, he still tells me it's not nice! Must be the tone of voice! Love the wreath!

My friend introduced me to your site - wow! You are one talented lady - your color scheme is totally right on! Anyway, I wanted to make this wreath for Christmas, but with a brand new baby...I didn't do it...so I've decided to make a twist on it for Valentine's Day - I am going to try to find pink and/or red balls and do the same thing! I will be sure to take a pic (if I get it done) and send it to you...wish me luck!
