you can see the shear excitement oozing off his face can't you?
these children have been affected by the popular fashion of having velcro on shoes. Well I don't know if its popular still, but we have a few pairs with velcro, so my kids havn't had the opportunity to learn how to tie their shoes. So Jake's home for a few days before they leave, and he put it upon himself to teach the boys how to tie thier shoes...the instructions went a little like this "okay, now pull the bunny ears, don't be afraid to yank those bunny ears!!! It's all about the bunny ears!!!" after about half an hour, the boys did it, and are now full blown bunny ear pulling shoe tiers!!!!

I love the plates! Way to go Jake or maybe I should say Nate and Ryan! Being able to tie your own shoes is one of the great milestones in life. Good luck Jake! We'll keep you in our prayers.
AWESOME new plates! LOVE THEM...your son looks SO cute in his frustrated shoe tying way...good luck!
OK, I am embarrassed to admit, my kids still do not know how to tie shoes. I do usually buy the velcro specials. Anyway, it is time, thanks for reminding me. Love the new plates. Simplicity is dreamy. As Maddie grows out of things, I will have to set some aside for you. Most of the rest is already in the garage ready for a garage sale. Anyway, life has calmed down here, so let me know if you are in town anytime soon.
Thanks for your comment! I have been following your blog for a few weeks (I found it through Kate and Brooke). Your posts make me laugh! I love how you just tell it like it is... it is so refreshing and hysterical! Your kids are so adorable- I remember Nate when he was just a baby?! It is crazy how quickly time goes by!
Take care & hang in there- hope everyone is feeling better!
